Captain Adam Sirek, Dip.H.E. (Med.Sci.), B.Sc. (Hons.), M.D., M.Sc., C.C.F.P., D.A.B.F.M., C.A.M.E.
Adam Sirek is a family physician in Windsor, Ontario. Dr. Sirek received an Honours Bachelor of Science followed by a Master’s Degree in Physiology and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto. He then attended Northumbria University where he obtained a concurrent Diploma in Higher Education (Medical Sciences) while attending St. George’s University School of Medicine as a Keith B. Taylor Global Scholar. Dr. Sirek later completed a family medicine and subsequent chief residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He has established a family practice in Windsor, Ontario providing the latest evidence-based medicine while serving as a Transport Canada Aviation Medical Examiner. Dr. Sirek also provides occupational medicine support and holds privileges at the Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan and Ouellette campuses. Dr. Sirek has served as a reservist in the Royal Canadian Air Force since 2005 as a pilot and is proud to support of the Royal Canadian Air Cadet program in Canada. He is an Associate Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association, a lifetime member of the space medicine association, and licensed to practice medicine in Ontario, Michigan, and Texas. Dr. Sirek has been appointed as an adjunct professor of Family Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and enjoys teaching medical students and residents in his practice. He is always eager to help new trainees learn about aerospace medicine and has developed a curriculum in Windsor for Canadian medical students to understand basic aviation medicine. Dr. Sirek spends his free time teaching Canadian youth about aviation, lecturing to community groups, and travelling with his wife and two children.
