The Aerospace Medicine Residency at UTMB has a new program director!

Please join the Houston AMSRO Chapter on April 6th from 6-7pm to welcome Dr. Shah and learn about his background/future plans for the programs.

Dr. Shah is the former Medical Director of NASA Johnson Space Center where he provided both medical and administrative oversight of clinical services. For his role during the COVID-19 pandemic he was awarded the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal. A graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Shah completed Internal Medicine residency at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ and later the Aerospace Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. During his career to date he has also provided support to the Exploration Medical Capability team at NASA as well as operational support at the Neutral Buoyancy Lab and Star City, Russia.
