Q&A with Dr Powers and Dr. Romine

Dr. Powers serves as Director of Clinical Preventive Medicine, informally known as the Aerospace Medicine Division. He is a board-certified specialist in both Aerospace Medicine and Emergency Medicine. His interests and activities at UTMB include Associate Program Director for the Aerospace Medicine Residency and Principal Investigator for the NASA-KBR Human Health and Performance Contract. He is an FAA-designated Senior Medical Examiner, serving as an attending physician for the UTMB Aerospace Medicine Center. Dr. Powers is a retired NASA flight surgeon and an instrument rated private pilot.

Dr. David Romine is a retired Army Colonel and Master Flight Surgeon, Program Director, UTMB Aerospace Medicine Residency, and, Director, Executive Space Medicine Services, at UTMB. He is actively board-certified in three specialties: Aerospace Medicine; Occupational and Environmental Medicine; and Family Medicine/Osteopathy.
