Benincasa hails from the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from LaSalle University with a dual Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology with a Premedical Concentration. She was commissioned as an Army Officer through the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) as a Second Lieutenant
